THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Plant & Equipment Fitter to join our client based in Consett.

The company in question provide a broad range of survey, geo-consulting, geotechnical, environmental and subsea services both within the UK and overseas.

THE ROLE

Assess performance and condition of plant and machinery, checking for wear and tear and identifying potential breakdowns and report to Supervisor/Chargehand.
React to site breakdowns, provide technical problemsolving solutions to site personnel, identify and report any defects likely to lead to major breakdowns.
Working with the supervisor to complete reports to ensure all progress, downtime, plant and equipment defects are correctly recorded
Internally you will work closely with the Plant supervisor/Chargehand, Workshop Manager, Coworkers & Plant supervisors, externally you will occasionally work with site clients

THE PERSON
Essential

GCSE's including Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent
BFPA Level 1 Hydraulics. NVQ level 23. Apprentice trained or equivalent training.
Experience in marine plant/drilling equipment preferred, strong in both mechanical and hydraulic disciplines.
Can demonstrate experience of complete overhauls to fault finding on a wide variety of plant such as pumps, winches, hydraulic deck cranes, HPU or agricultural equipment.
Full UK Driving Licence
Practical, Handson Individual

CSCS Card
First Aid
Forklift Licence
Slinger/Signaller

THE PACKAGE

20 Days holiday, 3 reserved for Christmas rises to 25 incrementally over 5 years 1 per year
