Crawley**My client works within electronics manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design, on a permanent basis, in the Crawley area.

Electronics Manufacturing - Design Engineering - SolidWorks - Jigs & Fixtures

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

BSc / BEng qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Design / Product Design Engineering or similar
2 or more years' of industry experience working in similar mechanical design engineer role working on design for manufacture
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials injection moulded plastics, metals etc.
Excellent knowledge and proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software ideally
Be selfmotivated with excellent attention to detail
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Full UK Driving Licence

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Designing both new products and updating existing products
developing detailed mechanical designs
Designing production jigs & fixtures
Being involved in developing detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks and the associated documentation
Liaising with colleagues and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered ontime and within budget
Carrying out postproduction design changes
Managing a variety of projects
Assisting colleague with any engineering or manufacturing issues that may arise
