Description

Key responsibilities:


  • Supporting the social, emotional and academic progress of a child with autism
  • Engaging the child in meaningful and engaging activities that will help them work towards their targets
  • Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure the child's needs are met
  • Keeping accurate records of the child's progress and sharing this information with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff
  • Attend and participate in meetings and training as required

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a primary school setting
  • Knowledge of autism and how to support children with autism in a classroom setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with record keeping and reporting
  • Ability to work well in a team
