Since its formation in 2002 this family run business has grown in size and reputation.
Due to continued increase in business, we now have a requirement for an Receptionist / Administrator to join one of our auction houses based in Derbyshire on a temporary to permanent basis.

Duties to include:
- Be the first point of call for clients and visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
- Answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
- Answering customer queries
- Data inputting
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Be expected to take cash and debit card payments
- Take bids from clients and enter them onto the sale
- Book collection appointments for clients to collect their goods
- At times assist with the packing of goods
- Manage stock by entering stock receipts and booking out collected stock and lots
- Provide administration support for the team
- Ensure the website is kept up to date
- You will ensure that filing, archiving and shredding are kept up to date
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying etc.
Skills Required:
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Valid driving license and own transport
Rate of Pay:
- £19,000 - £24,000 per annum
Hours of work:
Rotating shifts:
- Week
- Monday, Thursday, Friday 9am to 5.30am; Tuesday 9am to 6pm; Wednesday 9am to 6.30pm (Daily breaks 2 x 15 minute breaks and 1 x 30 minute break)
- Week
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30am (Daily breaks 2 x 15 minute breaks and 1 x 30 minute break)
- Additional Information: Occasional weekend work required as and when to suit the needs of the business, usually 4 times per year on a Sunday afternoon.
