Overview:
Due to the continued success and expansion of the Markerstudy Group, we are now looking to recruit a Technical Trainer (Group Claims) to join our dynamic and forward thinking team.
Working as part of Group Technical Claims you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and delivery of specific material/modules of technical claims training, within your area of expertise.
A Technical Trainer must have expertise in at least one of these areas and a willingness/desire to be cross-trained into other areas.
Working closely with key stakeholders around the business you will design and deliver training material which encourages staff to maximise their potential and maintain a high level of technical competency.
Responsibilities:
- In line with the business strategy, review allocated material from within your area of expertise, ensure all is current, and fit for purpose.
- Keep up to date with the internal process and external market and legislative changes, which may lead to the updating of and/or producing new modules/training packages.
- Maintain a record of all Technical Training delivered or planned, to ensure a transparent view of the Group Claims Training programme.
- Provide timely MI to the Claims Management Team and other key stakeholders on training delivery and evaluation results to demonstrate the benefit to the business.
- Work closely with Group Claims Managers/Team Leaders to ensure Competency Skills Matrix and Personal Development Plans contain appropriate technical training solutions and any learning sessions are scheduled/planned.
- Monitor the MyLex LMS Training Modules to ensure these are current, fit for purpose and provide an engaging learning solution to end users, providing timely updates/reports to the Claims Management Team on handler/team completions.
- Where required, liaise with the Technical Team and Talent Development Team to ensure approaches, material and techniques are consistent and inline with the wider Group learning strategy.
- To adhere to Company processes with regard to FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly.
- To ensure that DPA, FCA & TCF and other regulatory requirements are met.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in their area of expertise which must be either
- Customer claims motor, with strong technical skills and knowledge of legal liability, policy indemnity, motor vehicle repair processes, recoveries and fraud detection. In addition, Markerstudy product, brand & scheme knowledge.
- Customer claims home, with strong technical skills and knowledge of policy indemnity, storm claims, subsidence claims. In addition, Markerstudy product, brand & scheme knowledge.
- Third party Claims, with strong technical skills and knowledge of legal liability, policy indemnity, special damages, PI general damages, OIC, MOJ, CPR, litigation, recoveries and fraud detection. In addition, Markerstudy product, brand & scheme knowledge.
- Experience in delivering both classroom and sidebyside training to individuals and larger groups, both remotely and face to face.
- Experience in producing professional, comprehensive, structured, engaging and innovative claims training material.
- Excellent communication, planning, prioritisation & organisational skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse/identify trends where training may be required, and have strong report writing skills.
- Good understanding of the departments vision & strategy and the KPI's, SLA's and T&O's that drive excellent performance.
- A familiarity with PC office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Desirable Skills:
