Description

To participate and coordinate the provision of a specialised decontamination of medical devices service to the clinical care of the patient.

To provide a high quality and timely service to all service users.

To supervise and allocate duties to staff.

To work in accordance with departmental policy, standard operating procedures and quality management systems.

To assist in the regular review of standard oparating procedures.

To perform a full range of medical device decontamination duties.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

To work in accordance with departmental policy, standard operating procedures and quality management systems.

To assist in the regular review of standard oparating procedures.

To perform a full range of medical device decontamination duties.

Manage Decontamination records in own area of work.

To record all routine testing of decontamination equipment.
