Our internships will take place in Summer 2023 for 10-12 weeks.

About the Team
Edinburgh Airport's Software Engineering Team works to create digital experiences which help make travel better.

Our products include passenger-facing websites, internal tools to help the airport operate smoothly and efficiently, and our Multi-Airport eCommerce Platform that we're working on scaling globally.

We've got some very exciting projects on the go, and this will be a great opportunity to get insight into how we deliver them.

The Software Engineering team is a small, distributed team of highly-skilled engineers who work across the entire stack.

We're looking for someone who'd like to get hands-on experience in generating product & feature ideas, launching prototypes and MVPs, AB testing changes and then launching these products and features to production.

Our tech stack includes (but is not limited to) , TypeScript, React, , MySQL and Google Cloud.

What you'll be doing

Take an active part in the end to end software delivery cycle (planning, developing, reviewing, UATing) by taking on work items in the sprint and committing code to our codebase
Get involved with product discussions and decisions
Work across the stack, using modern technology and frameworks such as , React and Google Cloud Platform
Learn about the exciting world of aviation and build digital experiences to help make travel better for our passengers
Learn about eCommerce and help to build out our Multi-Airport booking platform and help us scale to airports across the globe

What we're looking for

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Hands on experience with building web apps using JavaScript/TypeScript and React
Excited at the prospect of working in a fast paced Digital environment
Flexible and ready to get stuck in and help out with a variety of development tasks
A selfmotivated problem solver
