Learning Support/Teaching Assistant ?

GSL Education are currently looking for a

Learning Support Assistant/LSA for one of our client secondary schools in

North London, immediately. The school is a high-performing school where the pupils and academic results consistently demonstrate that it is among the top schools in the borough.

As an ethical, independent recruitment provider, they are passionate about supporting local Schools with staffing requirements:
supply, interim and permanent.

About the Learning Support Assistant/LSA role:

To support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and progress of all students.
To assist in the development of students' learning
Work on differentiated activities with groups of students
Facilitating the regular attendance of students, providing each student with the support needed to carry out learning
Ensuring that students' wellbeing is maintained at all times
Have previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant/LSA
Have the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
Ability to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behavior.
Be aware and consider the safety implications to children, parents, other staff, and themselves
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service._
