Summary

My high-profile banking client is looking for a IT Project manager to join their team based in Edinburgh on a hybrid Basis (1 -2 a month on site) on an initial 6 month contract with chance of extensions.

As IT Project Manager you will leads their technical delivery team to ensure the fundamentals of Project Management excellence are achieved, this includes analysis, governance, planning to manage finances, delivering value and route to live.


Job Description:


  • Takes responsibility for delivering a prescribed budget for own area of the organization and/or conducts complex analyses on budget progress in other areas while working within established systems.
  • Personally, meets customer needs related to standard products and services and/or supervises a team of customer advisors.
  • Grows own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities and develops the capabilities of direct reports by working within existing development framework; provides specialised training or coaching in area of expertise to othersthroughout the organisation.
  • Identifies shortcomings and suggests improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then delivers a plan.
  • Delivers prescribed outcomes for area of responsibility by working within established knowledge management systems.
  • Delivers outcomes by managing others and working within established systems.
  • Delivers own smallscale or mediumscale IT projects by working within an established programme management plan.
  • Investigates standard and nonroutines incidents and reports and provides expert advice to more senior colleagues while coordinating with all internal functions to facilitate effective implementation of compliance programmes to minimize risk exposures andensure adherence with regulatory standards.
  • Delivers prescribed outcomes for a designated area, using risk management systems to ensure the organisation is not exposed to undue risks.

About You:

  • You are a dynamic and adaptable individual able to use & learn new skills & knowledge in varying circumstances
  • You can remain calm and lead the team effectively through constrained timescales and difficult programmes.
  • You are experienced in delivering complex technical IT change
  • You've a welldeveloped communication kit bag with extensive customer management experience
  • You can influence partners of all levels and balance partners expectations and facilitate discussions across high risk and complexity or under constrained timescales.
  • You will be skilled in Leading and minimising operational risks
  • And you will influence positively demonstrating similar values and behaviours to our Group's and encouraging this in team members

Ideally, you'll also bring:

  • Previous experience of delivering change across LBG and/or FNZ
  • Ability to adopt new ways of working and finding a way to incorporate agile practices
