Come and join our evolving Fire Safety team here in Macclesfield. We are a small team with big ambitions. We provide a friendly working atmosphere whilst delivering Fire Safety Advice across the trust's footprint.


We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Fire Safety Advisor, who can prioritise, work well under pressure, with experience in the fire service, a flexible attitude to working and an organised, professional manner.

You need to be able to manage your own workload effectively whilst reporting to the Fire Safety and Resilience manager.


Your role will be based at Macclesfield Hospital and you will be expected to travel to the trust's community hospitals and peripheral sites.


The post includes conducting Fire safety training, undertaking risk assessments, audits and inspections, and ensures Fire safety compliance to maintain the safety of patients and staff.

Experience in IT systems is essential.


To act as one of the trust's competent persons for fire safety and provide specialist advice and direct support to the Fire Safety Manager to ensure Trust compliance with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 Department of Health - Fire code Health Technical Memorandum Suite of documents.


To support the Fire Safety & Resilience Manager to co-ordinate a wide fire prevention service, advising on all matters relating to fire safety.

Prepare and deliver fire risk assessment / onsite evacuation training and ensure strategies are met. Maintain records of all training delivered.


To provide advice, guidance to operational services regarding their responsibilities for fire safety ensuring that controls in place are monitored and tested.

In line with the Trust's Business Continuity Framework, support the development of operational resilience in relation to fire through coordinating contingency planning for evacuation of Trust premises.
