We are currently looking for a Mortgage and Protection Adviser to join our clients, an established property business based in the Harpenden area.

They aim to make the home-buying process as simple as possible. They purely specialise in mortgages and do itbrilliantly - day in, day out. Dealing with all major UK lenders, they will always source the best solution. They also offer clients ancillary property or mortgage-related products such as buildings & contents and mortgage protection.


Working hours:


  • Monday
  • Friday 8:30 am 6:00 pm with an hour lunch.
  • Some Adhoc Saturdays where needed for external appointments.

The successful Mortgage and Protection Adviser will be offered:

  • £25,000
  • £32,000 Basic + a strong commission structure on a sliding scale.
- £50,000 - £70,000 OTE

To be considered for the Mortgage and Protection Adviser role you must have:

  • The highest compliance and strong prioritising/organisational skills.

  • C11 paraplanner qualification encouraged
  • CeMAP qualification encouraged

As a Mortgage and Protection Adviser, your role will involve:

  • Liaising with Clients, Mortgage Advisers, Lenders, Solicitors and Estate Agents.
  • Encourage lead generation from branch staff
  • Calling selfgenerated opportunities from the database
  • Calling clients following leads from branches
  • Build great relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Distribution of Mortgage offers and tracking cases through to completion.
  • Photocopy, scan and file appropriate documents as needed, maintaining accurate records.
  • Comply with FCA regulations
  • Comply with company standards and policies, e.g., Data Protection, Financial Crime, Treating. Customers Fairly, Complaints Procedure etc.
  • Diarise and make followup calls
  • Preparing and maintaining the client file, taking factfinding information, receiving and uploading documents to the case, updating the case notes, helping the advisor to ascertain soft facts
  • Organising recommendations, carrying out research as per the advisor's request, preparing research and KFI's for the advisor to sign off
