An experienced Factory Manager is needed to join the team at this progressive and dynamic company operating in the Blackburn area.

This position has limitless potential and is an all-around management position encompassing employee, facilities, and production management, plus materials control and administrative responsibilities.

The role is varied, meaning no two days will be the same.

This role would suit a manager from a manufacturing background looking for an exciting, varied new opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Operators, maintenance, and warehousing staff in a manufacturing environment.
Mentor, develop and grow the internal team
Process documentation and administration
Liaising with supply chain teams and Production Planners to ensure deadlines are met
Ensure health and safety requirements are followed at all times
Maintain lines, including scheduling of works along with looking at areas of continuous improvement.
Liaise with senior management teams to look at KPIs, costs and delivery
Management of stock control, including undertaking and reconciling periodic stock counts
Periodically source external bodies to prove specialist compliance
Specify and maintain quality assurance of purchased components, finished goods and equipment
Responsible for recruitment, training, mentoring and welfare of factory personnel and temporary workers

Required Experience:

Production Background
Have previous experience working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment
Strong people management skills
Previous experience of managing a team
Be handson, support with operations and be flexible with working hours in busy periods
A strong understanding of IT and computer systems
Exceptional organisation and communication skills
Process driven
