Talento Group is currently recruiting for a
Maintenance Supervisor for our client who is a leading manufacturer.
This role will be an essential part of the Plant Leadership Team.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will manage a team of 8 Engineers.

You will also be responsible for continuous improvements of plant production lines and ancillary equipment to help minimize downtime and maximise efficiencies.


Key tasks & Activities

  • As a Maintenance Manager you will have full responsibility for all aspects of the maintenance team; including machine efficiencies, losses optimization, validators of suppliers and training.
  • Execute and enforce the Preventative Maintenance Plan
  • Ensure the management of the warehouse of technical parts, identifying critical parts as well as the necessary physical inventories
  • Analyse breakdowns of equipment
  • Participate in actions for cost reductions
  • Plas, direcs, manage and deliver projects regarding maintenance or equipment improvements
  • Team Coordination coordinate the maintenance activities carried out by the maintenance team and / or service providers
  • Ensure maintenance team has a timely response to plant issues

Who we are looking for.

Background and Experience

  • Experience of employee documentation (e.g Performance Reviews, Return to Work Meetings etc)
  • Strong mechanical maintenance experience and demonstrated an understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Good logical thought process regarding fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Experience in fast paced Automation machines in a production environment would be advantageous (FMCG, Food, Packaging etc)

Technical Skills

  • Experience in packaging manufacturing would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of PLC's and Inverter drives would be advantageous.
  • 18th edition would be advantageous.

£45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

  • Dumfries: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
