    Legal Counsel

    This role is critical to ensuring our company remains at the forefront of a rapidly developing industry. We seek individuals who understand and share our customer-centric values and are committed to driving future success.

    We are looking for talented legal professionals to support our UK & Ireland branches as Legal Counsel. This role will involve supporting the legal function, including contract negotiation, risk management, and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will also participate in strategic initiatives across legal, compliance, HR, and operations.

    The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years PQE and experience in commercial law and contracts. In-house experience is essential, with a strong background in cross-border contracts, trade law, technology law, data protection, employment law, litigation, corporate governance, and trademark enforcement.

    This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days spent in the office per week. Our team is based across the country, with offices in Glasgow, Southampton, Milton Keynes, Northampton, and Egham. We welcome applications from existing in-house lawyers looking to take their career to the next level.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Negotiate and review all types of contracts, including master service agreements, vendor agreements, software licensing agreements, ecommerce contracts, agency agreements, NDAs, etc.
    • Defend our shipping terms, including lien rights, indemnities, limits of liabilities, etc.
    • Maintain and renew property leases.
    • Assist in resolving disputes on behalf of the business and lead on smaller disputes and dispute resolution strategy.
    • Enforce trademarks across UK&I.
    • Support requests related to GDPR and other privacy rules and regulations.
    • Build the UK & I Legal team, defining the legal strategy and initiatives for UK&I.
    • Support the business with operational requests that require legal input.
    • Collaborate with outside counsel to drive cost-saving efficiencies and mitigate risk.
    • Assist with human resources tasks, including drafting employment agreements and negotiating staffing agreements.
    • Improve legal compliance across UK&I.
