WHO ARE THEY:

Our client, a leading global manufacturer in specialty ingredients, supplying the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries are currently recruiting an Operations Supervisor to join their friendly team in Felinfach (Ceredigion)


THE ROLE
This position is responsible for the supervision of all production operations at the Felinfach facility during the assigned shift. These responsibilities will be performed in compliance with all company and regulatory programs. Focusing on results to deliver success as measured by key performance metrics.


Please NOTE that the work pattern will be shift comprising of both days and nights including weekends, with flexibility to switch as required.

Rotating Day/Night shifts

Felinfach (Ceredigion)

  • Lead, motivate and train employees to meet daily manufacturing targets and business and departmental goals in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure a safe work environment is always maintained. Supervise, promote, and enforce rules and regulations around safety, quality and regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Manage department priorities and completion of appropriate production, processing, and sanitation documentation.
  • Conduct HR related task including performance evaluations, employee counselling, attendance management and payroll updates.
  • Effectively manage improvements to improve yields, production down time, reduce waste, rejections, complaints, and improve throughputs.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that there is an adequate distribution of skills to enable production plan.
  • Act as deputy for Operations Superintendent where required.

ABOUT YOU

  • Preferably five+ years previous supervisory experience.
  • Qualified in higher education or degree in a technical area.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, food processing, packaging, quality, supply chain.
  • Knowledge in Continuous Improvement environment (Lean manufacturing).
  • Good computer, analytical and organizational skills to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.
