Job summary:


The post holder will play a pivotal role in tracking the patients through their pathways ensuring the cancer waiting times targets are being met and recording relevant data along the patient's journey.

Collaboratively working with clinical teams both within and outside of the trust to ensure appropriate management of patient information and co-ordination of patient pathways, this very busy role will work in collaboration with the secretarial team and waiting list co-ordinator to ensure the relevant information is recorded and available for patients who are being cancer tracked and will have work closely with the MDT cohort.


Main duties, tasks & skills required:
Proactively be involved in the development and continuous improvement of tracking systems and processes.

To be fully conversant with the Trust data management system - Somerset cancer register so that patient waiting times data is entered in real time - event by event, and use the Trust regular reports cancer waiting times tracking system for patient tracking.


To monitor milestones and provide validated reports to the manager and clinical teams in the given format at the required times.


To develop working relationships with the relevant clinical teams to ensure that all patients are tracked in an efficient and thorough manner.

  • Good General Education eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C GCSE LEVEL 9
  • Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an Administrative environment

Experience:

  • Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
  • Experience of working in a Secretarial/ Administrative role with a proven track record of problem solving
  • Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
  • Good Organisational skills
  • Able to use own initiative and deal with the unpredictable
  • Able to work under pressure and to multi task
  • Able to work to deadlines
