Haines Watts Wolverhampton Limited are seeking an experienced and motivated
R&D Manager/Senior to service and develop a portfolio of work for owner managed businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Identification of qualifying R&D projects and corresponding expenditure through participation in technical discussions with clients.
- Technical assessment of projects in line with R&D Guidelines and preparation of supporting technical documentation.
- Staying ahead of industry developments and legislative changes relevant to R&D tax relief and other innovation incentives to further your knowledge and capabilities.
- Producing technical reports in accordance with the HMRC guidelines to portray the key technical factors of client projects to support the R&D claim.
- Interaction with clients' senior technical staff to develop a comprehensive understanding of the projects undertaken and review in the light of R&D Guidelines.
- Playing a key role in accelerating the growth of the business by identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Providing regular progress reports to the management team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of R&D tax relief, with experience in a specialist R&D firm or other accountancy practice.
- Experience in dealing with technological challenges faced by industry professionals, such as engineering design, the development or improvement of manufacturing processes, development of new products and improvement to existing products.
- Project management skills and client relationshipbuilding abilities.
