IT DELIVERY MANAGER

Salary:
£45,454 - £67,338 + car allowance + bonus + hybrid (mostly work from home)

We are now looking for an
I.T.

Delivery Manager
to join us on this journey, and the key responsibilities of this role include the following:


  • Actively understand the needs of the business and build effective internal relationships.
  • Ensure effective delivery of programmes and projects within portfolio.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the business objectives and requirements and can translate these into specific Tec Change capabilities.
  • Understand and promote both Y.W.s and Tec Change strategic requirements and ensure alignment in tactical delivery.
  • Work with key stakeholders to define and agree the desired strategic requirements and ensure alignment in tactical delivery.
  • Represent the department function at various stakeholder meetings and workshops.
  • Ensure sufficient supplier, vendor management and frameworks are in place to meet the specialist Tec Change capability requirements.
  • Engage, promote, and build the 3rd party relationships to enhance delivery productivity and capability.
  • Provide oversight of the relevant framework partners to ensure they perform to agreed deliverables and KPIs and manage their ongoing suitability and effectiveness.
  • Work with procurement and Vendor management on relevant 3rd party tenders and contracts.
  • Ensure alignment of capital spend and work activity with the regulatory framework of the business.
  • Manage the yearly and AMP capital budget with sound financial planning that meets all governance requirements.
  • Ensure that commercial awareness and financial management is promoted and forms the foundation of all business decisions.
  • Lead a team to provide and efficient and effective delivery capability that meets all agreed delivery targets and measures.
  • Effectively performance manage Project Managers and partners in the delivery of planned/agreed outcomes taking corrective action where outcomes are deviating from plans.
  • Ensure all delivery processes are in place and all work streams meet all Tec governance processes and requirements.
  • Develop and evolve processes in line with Tec governance for the enhanced delivery and management of Tec Change capabilities and outputs.
  • Manage the ongoing prioritisation and allocation of resources to ensure Tec outputs meet customer requirements and needs.
  • Provide comprehensive business planning.
  • Manage the risks and mitigations for each delivery stream.
  • Advise Y.W. and Tec boards of opportunities in efficiency or best practice in the delivery of the programme.
  • Ensure Tec Change capabilities products are appropriately handed over to the customer with agreed SLAs and sufficient customer training.
  • Be an active member of the management team and supporter to the senior leadership team.

What skills are we looking for?

Essential:


  • Appropriate qualifications and experience in delivery I.T. changes to the organisation.
  • Experience of managing a multi £m budget.
  • Broad understanding of the relevant Tec Change capability technologies and systems.
  • Knowledge of the vendor landscape.
  • Ability to understand business strategies and objectives and translate them into tech requirements.
  • A great team player: inspire others, participate, share, pitch in, and enjoy working with others.
  • Ability to demonstrate relentless drive, energy and determination to deliver sustainable outperformance for Y.W. that rigorously achieves against demanding competitive industry benchmarks and metrics from other organisations.
