Description
Job Purpose
Installation of furniture in accordance to work and project plans.
Supporting in the movement of furniture, tools and equipment from warehouse onto vehicles and from vehicles to site when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly of furniture in line with manufacture and customer requirements
- Installation of furniture in line with work and project plans interpreting client needs
- Familiarisation with the full range of products supplied from manufactures
- Supporting team members to develop their skills and knowledge around products and installations
- Working as part of a team, supporting and encouraging colleagues
- In the absence of senior fitter / supervisor responsible for client liaison
- Completion of project time sheets / duty sheets signed off by clients
- Liaison with head office in relation to site developments / issues
- Ensure all sites are left clean and tidy
- Coordinating small projects up to 4 men
- Accountable for handling property and products safely and efficiently
- Utilise health & safety and standard moving tools
- Able to lift and carrying 25kgs. for a moderate distance as well as carrying furniture up stairs.
- Adhere to all safe working practices including manual handling
- PPE must be carried at all times
- Provide excellent customer service
Dimensions
- Working on multiple projects per week across a diverse client base including regional, national and overseas based activity.
- Clients range in size from small to large businesses and include Blue Chip organisations. Service delivery is over a 7 day period with the possibility for installations to be evening and night based.
- Strategic Partners include furniture manufacturers / suppliers, clients, third party organisations such as building contractors.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential Skills
- Experience of similar fitting work
- Experience of furniture assesmbly
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions verbal and written
- Ability to be self organised
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to develop junior members of staff
Qualifications / Skills
- CSCS card
- Driving Licence (6 or less points)
Knowledge
- Understanding of office furniture installation and products
- Essential
- Awareness of working within construction industry health & safety requirements / legislation
- Essential

Context
This is a lead role and is integral to the effective delivery of all installations. The role is site based but there may be the occasional need to work within the warehouse.

Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary:
£12.42 per hour
