Page Personnel is partnering with an insurance business who are looking for an Accounts Technician to join their accountancy team on a full time permanent basis.


Client Details
Our client is a successful insurance business who have seen rapid growth in the past 12 months.

They are base din Fareham and do require travel to their offices but do offer a hybrid model of working.


Description
As the Accounts Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Credit control activities using effective collection techniques to meet targets.
  • Effective query resolution, resolving these efficiently. Taking ownership of the ledger and ensure that all avenues are explored to collect any outstanding debt.
  • Control and investigate aged debt to ensure this is kept to a minimum
  • Maintains productivity, quality and service standards across teams in UK and working in partnership with our colleagues in the offshore team.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of processes and procedures for effective credit control and takes a proactive role in improving efficiency and minimizing bad debt.
  • Supports projects, working closely with others to deliver added value.
  • Manages internal & external stakeholders and builds strong relationships
  • Identification, Reconciliation and clearance of unallocated cash amounts
  • Problem solver who provides high level of oversight and support to our offshore team.

Profile
To be successful for the Accounts Technician role, you must:

  • Institute of Credit Management (ICM) on-going study or qualification desired but not essential.
  • Proven experience in a fastpaced Credit control environment.
  • Experience within a Finance Operations function or a relevant business context.
  • Strong credit control experience from a financial services background, insurance experience desirable
  • Good telephone manner, ability to build relationships with customers
  • A high level of numeracy and literacy
  • Strong organisational and analytical skill with an ability to prioritise

Job Offer
**Salary £20,000 - £25,000
