An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Digital Health Champion to support access and the roll out of Digital equipment to vulnerable individuals and across communities.

The post holder will work as part of the NHS Charities Together Project 'Powering Recovery' to support the coordination, development and promotion of the funded project within West London NHS Trust.


The post holder will support the Manager to ensure all activity is aligned to the outcomes of the Powering Recovery project as developed and delivered by West London NHS Trust in partnership with the Third Sector in Ealing.


The project will specifically focus on the role of technology and digital enablement and providing infrastructure support to groups and patients in line with KPI and service targets.


This post is an exciting opportunity to work within a team that are striving to improve and promote patient wellbeing and experience through the use of technology to support interventions.


  • Support the identification of patients who currently do not use digital channels for healthcare access
  • Work with patients to improve digital inclusion
  • Work with partner organizations and stakeholders to promote digital inclusion
  • Coordinate the development and revision of the service plan
  • Develop and implement working policies and protocols for the service
  • Manage the loan process of Trust technology devices
  • Support individual patients with their technology needs
  • Work with groups to improve their service delivery by increasing their digital capacity
  • Collate and analyse monitoring and evaluation data, assist in regular evaluation of the project
  • Prepare, present and lead training and online workshops
  • Supply information for funder monitoring reports
  • Develop strong working relationships with Trust departments, external agencies/organisations both in the voluntary and public sectors
  • Incrementally increase the uptake of technology by patients on the project and report activity
  • Liaise with the Communications Team to coordinate publicity relating to the project within the Trust and ensure that the project is positively promoted
  • Develop strong working relationships with members of the team, and attend team meetings where appropriate
  • Contribute to a positive unit culture and to model a collaborative and influencing style of working, negotiating with others to achieve the best outcomes
