AKKA's Software team is growing thanks to successful project wins and achievements over the last few years in the Defence industry.

If you're a junior to mid-level Software Engineer and are interested in joining a hugely growing team with training, supportalong with the chance to working on robust mission and safety critical systems, this is the position for you.

AKKA are heavily investing in our Software division and our currently looking for our next wave of engineers to join the team.

Main tasks include specifically:

Writing Test procedures and Test Scripts and performing Unit testing
Implementing requirements changes
Investigating and implementing problem reports and change requests
Reviewing and reworking the design artefacts
Customer facing

Essential Skills

Any compiled OOcapable programming language coding experience (C++/, Objective-C, Object Pascal /Delphi)
Understanding of the full product development lifecycle
Fundamental data structures (e.g. linked lists, stacks, queues)
Development of Software plans, requirements development and software verification
Debugging
Great soft skills
Eager to learn and develop
QT, ARM, Microprocessors
RTOS or Realtime environments
Linux
