We are seeking a highly motivated Executive Assistant to provide high quality, highly efficient and effective administrative, PA, and project support to the following: Professor Hugh Watkins, in his capacity as Cardiovascular Medicine PI, and Director of the CureHeart programme, the CureHeart Programme Manager (Dr Ruth McCaffrey) and the wider CureHeart team.

You will need to demonstrate an exceptional level of organisational ability, efficient time management and must be confident in making decisions, on behalf of the Programme Director and his team, to ensure the best use of their time.

You will be required to think on your feet and provide innovative solutions to problems as they arise, whilst maintaining a professional manner at all times.


You are required to have experience of providing high-level support at an Executive level and working in an administrative role as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professional demeanour and a positive and flexible approach to work in order to promote the profile of CureHeart, and build and maintain effective working relationships.

Being educated to degree level, or with equivalent professional experience would be desirable.


This is a full time appointment but would consider 0.8 FTE spread over 5 days (some flexibility with working hours will be required) on a fixed term contract until 30 November 2027 and you will be based at the Level 6 West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU.
