The Sport and Leisure team at Chesterfield Borough Council have a great opportunity for three coaches to become Activity Leaders, delivering activities throughout the school holidays primarily at Queen's Park Sports Centre.

The successful individual will work alongside other Activity Leaders delivering a high standard of tuition and coaching to children.

Our holiday activities are well attended and we pride ourselves in ensuring that children learn skills and build knowledge about the activities they participate in.

We are committed to delivering a high-quality programme and not just a school holiday chaperone service.

You will be a highly motivated, flexibly available, and resourceful individual who can maintain a customer-focused approach to all our Sport and Leisure activities.

Applicants must also be able to assist in developing the programme suggesting areas for improvement that can increase participation in activities.

Some experience of coaching/teaching/Instructing is essential for the position, as well as knowledge and qualification of sports leadership. On occasions we will use external partners to deliver specialist sessions so our Leaders will assist with these activities.

The role is variable so it will be working as and when required but generally we will need commitment to school holidays throughout the year.

Through developing our activity programme there may be potential to work during term time and with partners throughout Chesterfield Borough.
