Up to £30k

9am-5.30pm with possibility to work from home 2 days per week after 6 months
We have a fantastic opportunity working for a multi-billion dollar global organisation based near Broxbourne. They are established and very successful, they offer a supportive and fun environment and a busy and varied role where no day will be the same

We are looking for somebody who is eager to join a busy team in a fast-moving business. This would ideally suit somebody who has been in a similar role for 2+ years.

Key Responsibilities for the Shipping Coordinator:

  • Log and track all shipments
  • Scheduling of all contracts and shipments directly with suppliers
  • Establish freight rates directly with shippers and hauliers
  • Establish and verify duty rates
  • Ensure all documentation with regard to import regulations with the EEC is in order and correct
  • Liaise with nominated clearing agents
  • Timely and accurate completion of import and export customs entries and declarations
  • Update inhouse computer system in accordance with the company's day to day business practices
  • Liaise with clearing agents in a timely manner to ensure that all documentation is in order and presented to them to avoid excess handling charges
  • Work with the senior management team to ensure a smooth process
  • Providing goods traceability reports for Technical Department

Person Specific:


  • 23 years + in logistics/shipping/transport import (essential)
  • Knowledge of EU and nonEU import and export processes
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Intermediate/advanced excel knowledge and comfortable with pivot table, formulas, setting up and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Producing and dealing with international shipping documentation
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment working to deadlines and changes ability to react to short notice changes to suit operational requirements
