Description

OCU are looking for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join our team to work on Projects throughout the South of England.

Responsibilities:

Carry out topographic surveys of sites, establishing control where necessary.
Setting out including profiles, batter boards, high accuracy concrete works etc.
Carry out progress surveys of works Using GNSS and / or Total Station and by taking measurements and photographs to accurately plot newly installed utility service routes and other related construction works.
Creation of 'as laid' records, editing, validation, publication and submission of service records.
Creation, preparation and amendment of AutoCAD drawings and other electronic documentation.
Maintain and check all survey equipment, as required.
Follow and promote the company's health and safety policiies.
Use initiative, be self motivated and able to work without supervision
Good interpretive skills
Ability to prioritise various and changing tasks.
Work to deadlines and communicate early when this is not feasible
Well organized
Flexible
Good communicator and team player
Accuracy, literacy and numeracy abilities.

Experience & Skills

Educated to graduate level
Land Surveying / Civil Engineering background
Use of Leica GNSS 7 Robotic TS equipment
AutoCAD 2D & 3D to an advanced level
Microsoft Office including Word & Excel
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

CSCS
SMSTS / SSSTS
Membership of a professional body (RICS / CICES)
Previous experience with Utility networks
Experienced in AutoCAD Map3D / Civil 3D / GIS
First Aid
