Senior IT Governance Specialist - Aviation


Handle is working with a world leading global Private Airline who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experience to recruit a Senior IT Governance Specialist.


You will play an integral part in the development, implementation, and compliance of technical and information security across the enterprise.

Reporting to the Head of Technology Delivery, with a dotted line to the group CISO, the role holder will be responsiblefor managing risks related to information security, physical security, business continuity planning, crisis management, privacy, and compliance.


You will also be responsible for providing assurance to the GET, internal/external audit authorities or third-parties regarding the fidelity of the Information & Cyber security programme.


Based in the head office on a Hybrid working model (3 in the office and 2 from home), this is a full time (37.5 hours a week), permanent vacancy.


Skills required include:


  • Strong knowledge of or business experience in other business units or functional areas outside Security
  • Extensive understanding of critical program/project management techniques and an ability to motivate and lead team members
  • A willingness to broaden knowledge, and take on tasks, to become a connective lynchpin between Technology and the business
  • A technical background, or experience of working in these areas is advantageous
  • BA or MS in computer science, information systems management, business administration, or a related discipline
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
