Gallagher Re are seeking to recruit a Senior Editor to assist with the editing, proof-reading, origination and copywriting of client-facing content as we expand our global thought leadership and content marketing offering.

Working with the Executive Director for Intellectual Property Creation and Distribution, this individual will help to industrialise our editing process, acting as a brand/tone of voice guardian and ensuring the highest standards of spelling/punctuation/grammar and sense are maintained.

Your Role:

Editing copy for sense/style/spelling/punctuation/grammar across a variety of media (including but not limited to blogs, white papers, market reports, podcast/video scripts, website copy, social media copy and newsletters)
Proofreading final approved copy
Ensuring copy is aligned with brand guidelines
Ghostwriting/copy writing on behalf of senior members of Gallagher Re
Some origination of ideas for content
Deputise for the Executive Director of Intellectual Property Creation and Distribution

Your Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree level preferred, but will consider applicants without if level of work experience is sufficient
Financially literate (comfortable editing spreadsheets/data/analytics)
Knowledge of financial services is a must
Knowledge of specialty P&C (re)insurance is a distinct advantage
This role requires someone with a minimum of three years' experience at senior editor/ senior copy editor/ senior sub editor level, working within the media or for a related sector
Experience within financial services preferred, experience within specialty P&C (re)insurance a distinct advantage
Excellent command of the written English language
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to manage and prioritise a varied and flexible workload independently
Strong attention to detail
Tone of voice/brand guardian, to ensure high standards are maintained across all copy produced for the content platform
A team player
An appreciation for what makes a strong engagement angle, with the ability to develop content while keeping in mind both corporate sensitivities, business priorities and global and local demographics
Eligible to work in the UK.
