Introduction:


The Boeing P-8 Poseidon is a military aircraft developed by Boeing Defence, built on a modified design of the ERX.

The platform was initially developed for the US Navy, first flown in 2009 and introduced in 2013.


In 2019, the UK Ministry of Defence received the first of a fleet of nine P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol (MPA).

The Aircraft is fitted with equipment to tackle a diverse range of missions, including protecting submarines and reconnaissance missions.


Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) has been supporting the UK fleet as the exclusive Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) since its introduction into service.

BDUK will continue to support the UK customer at RAF Lossiemouth under our support contract with the UK MOD and also support our international customers as they enter their own fleets into service in the coming years.


This position is for Mechanical & Avionics
Supervisors/certifiers
who will carry out aircraft maintenance tasks whilst leading a team. The Supervisor will be primarily part of the P8 International Sustainment team based at RAF Lossiemouth and be prepared to operate worldwide for extended periods of time. After onboarding at RAF Lossiemouth, the first assignment is expected to be in Germany with further opportunities in other locations.

Enhanced support packages are provided for all overseas assignments.

Responsibilities:


  • Aircraft maintenance under Boeing's own MAA MRP or customer's Part 145/EMAR 14
  • Assembles disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing removing replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and test equipment
  • Troubleshoots complex aircraft systems to isolate mechanical faults and repair faulty components within guidelines published in authorized maintenance documents
  • Proficient computer skills, use of the Microsoft Office suite

Experience:


  • Minimum 3 Years experience on type by October 2024 (required).
  • Must have 2nd Signature/certification authorization under MAA/UK Part66/ EMAR.
  • Line or base maintenance experience desirable.
  • A recognised apprenticeship scheme or equivalent training programme preferred.

Desirable:


  • 737 Type rating
  • EMAR MAML

Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance (SC) for which UK residency is required. All information will be checked and verified.


Work Authorisation:

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.


Shift Work Statement:


Please note that this role may require you to work a shift system, including late shift - if required, a shift allowance is provided to compensate for these hours and this type of work.
