Job Purpose:
To support the business in maintaining adequate levels of materials to support sales and manufacturing demand at the best price and service level obtainable, in accordance with MRP demand and in accordance with all documented procedures and best practice.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Be the link between customer service(demand), operations, supply chain team, and supplier.
As a raw material planner, ensure accurate planning of components, based on demand.
Plan and execute procurement of raw materials from global suppliers.
In partnership with IT, as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) support implementation of correct MRP procedures in ERP system (Sage X3) to translate Finished Goods demand into component demand for raw material planning.
Maintain excellent relationships and communications with manufacturing and key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
Use Analytics and planning procedures to determine the accurate level of safety stock needed for components and Finished Goods to avoid stockouts while balancing the same with costs.
Support Supply chain team to implement cost savings initiatives through process improvements, alternate material, and supplier sourcing.
Complete special projects and assignments as requested.
Support the rollout of new customer programs/products as needed by ensuring establishment of new supply partners in local/global markets to support demand.
Excellent knowledge of planning in ERP systems. SAGE X3 preferred.
Excellent Analytics skills (Excel, Power BI).
Develop and nurture a culture of "can do" and a positive atmosphere.

Person Requirements:
Have utilised ERP systems for MRP planning and have managed MRP outputs.
8-10 years in a component planning/purchasing role.
Have used Excel/Power BI for data analysis.
Participated in/Led monthly S&OP meetings.
An awareness of Health and Safety law and best practices
Can demonstrate understanding of the Planning process with strong examples in managing component demand, avoiding stockouts and managing costs.
Can demonstrate understanding of the commercial "Buying" and "Selling" process, i.e. Margin development and the impact procurement has on this.
Has performed or supported New Supplier Selection /Evaluation/ Integration processes Strong grasp of written and spoken English
A strong communicator
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Confidently discuss issues and clearly express their views.
Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and fluid situations.
Experience in presenting Information and concepts to internal and external stakeholders, either one to few or One to many
Ability to use the Microsoft office suite of products, particularly outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Confident to discuss issues and clearly express their views
Experienced in negotiations and negotiation techniques
Pay:
£46,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
