    • Engage with 1st line business areas to ensure risks and controls are appropriately documented in Auditboard, and that control design/operational effectiveness is regularly tested.
    • Provide oversight and challenge to the 1st line across all key areas of the risk management framework, including: RCSA, risk events, and KRI's.
    • Champion continuous improvement by utilising MI (including PowerBI dashboards within Auditboard) and monitoring themes and trends.
    • Represent risk on business projects, ensuring delivery risks have been considered and are appropriately managed.
    • Represent risk at committees and provide secretariat support where required.
    • Update and maintain relevant operational risk policies and standards.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, industry developments, and internal MI that may impact the bank's exposure to risks and potential losses.

    About You

    • In-depth knowledge of different types of operational risks, systems, and processes, including risk management frameworks, control frameworks, and standards.
    • Proven experience gained within a financial services environment, preferably mortgage/consumer lending.
    • Experience in identifying, developing, and executing a risk framework and understanding of risk methodologies in a financial services environment.
    • Experience in using a GRC tool.
    • Strong product and sector knowledge of the broad financial services regulatory regime.
    • In-depth knowledge of operational risk and appreciation of other non-financial risks.
    • Able to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the bank.
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of management, regulators, and committees.
    • Able to embrace data and technology, operating in an environment where data use is key.

    • Free access to Headspace, a mindfulness and meditation digital health app.
    • Free access to Peppy digital health app offering personalised support through fertility treatment, becoming a parent, or menopause.
    • EAP (Employee Assistance Programme), providing support on a wide range of subjects.
    • Cycle to work scheme.
