A fantastic, progressive job opportunity has arisen for a
Customer Service Advisor who has relevant experience, is a solid communicator and is happy with both direct contact and ecommerce channels to join a great client of mine.

The company I am recruiting for is based in
Tamworth and is made up of a group of 9 businesses that provides products and materials to the construction industry.


This company is growing
Salary = £23,000 per annum starting salary
Hours = 37.5 hour week, Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00 / In the office full time to start with whilst training, and then hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day home working)
Ad hoc flexibility is definitely available when you would need to attend appointments, etc


Duties include:


  • Log information from calls received, file correspondence/data where required and maintain detailed and accurate records.
  • Customer account management, ensuring details are current and accurate.
  • To ensure enquiries are dealt with efficiently and are handled empathetically, professionally and in line with T&Cs and the values and beliefs of the Company.
  • Provide information, support and advice to our customers.
  • Keep a record of all enquiries, comments and complaints within specified systems.
  • Collect and report on customer feedback in agreed format.
  • Interact with branch staff members to discuss any enquiries or queries that customers may have and consider the best solution.
  • Place customer orders via the specified systems.
  • Communicating with suppliers re pending orders.
  • Stock checking via specified systems.
  • Keep product information up to date.
  • Liaising with couriers and courier account handling to ensure SLA is being met.
As you can see this is a really varied position and important to the team.


Skillset needed for this role:


  • Must have previous office based customer service experience
  • You do not need to have construction industry experience as the training is great and you would have a very supportive manager
  • Proficient system user as will be using a CRM database and ERP system. All training is given
  • Great attention to detail is needed
  • Must be highly organised
  • Honesty and loyalty
  • Effective communicator
