Payroll Assistant
North London - N17
Full-time, Permanent
We are an Accountancy firm based in north London that provide accounting services to small to medium sized companies. We are seeking a payroll assistant to join our busy and friendly team. Our new member needs to be a team player which can multitask and balance a varied role.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly and weekly salaries for our clients via Payroll Manager.
- Preparing and submitting monthly pension
- Ensure the payroll is processed accurately, on time and conforming to UK legislation
- Preparing and printing payslips and payments via Cash, BACS and cheques.
- Responding to client queries in a timely manner
- Submitting RTI to HMRC
- Preparing P11d's, P60's, P45's, etc.
- Deal with HMRC PAYE queries
- Calculating holiday entitlement
- Absence Management including SSP, SMP, SAP etc.
- Working knowledge of Payroll Software
- Comfortable speaking with clients and authorities such as Companies House and HMRC
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent detailed accurate handling skills
- An excellent telephone manner
- Ability to multitask
- Ideally a minimum of one year of working experience in accounting practice
- Preferably good Turkish language skills
