We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Birkbeck's Wellbeing Services as a full-time Disability Advisor.

This role is integral to our mission of providing equal opportunities and fostering an inclusive environment for all students.

An annual salary of £37,143, rising to £42,36
A fulltime position with a 35hour work week
An openended contract with hybrid working

As our Disability Advisor at Birkbeck University, you'll be:

Managing a large caseload of students with complex and cooccurring conditions and needs.
Responding to student enquiries and contributing to the administration that ensures student support needs are met.
Identifying appropriate, individualised support packages and facilitating the provision of appropriate adaptations and support.
Contributing to the development and delivery of workshops, activities, and resources.
Providing training and guidance to academic and professional service staff on a range of topics.
Leading on specific projects as required and maintaining uptodate, clear and accurate student records.

We're looking for a Disability Advisor who:

Has an empathic understanding of the difficulties experienced by people with disabilities.
Demonstrates knowledge of disability legislation and accessibility issues in education.
Has experience of developing, implementing, and managing innovative and efficient administrative and monitoring systems.
Has excellent organisational, time management, and IT skills.
Has experience working in a senior administrative role within Further or Higher Education and/or other relevant professional experience.
Is proactive, selfmotivated, and able to work collaboratively within a team.

Remuneration
£37,143, rising to £42,365 per annum, Grade 6 of the College's London Pay Scale.
