We are delighted to be assisting our successful accountancy firm client to find a new Senior Accountant/Auditor to join their team based in Leeds city centre.

This permanent role offers hybrid working, plus excellent benefits and career prospects.


The role will include:

  • Working directly with a wide range of clients as their first point of contact, developing and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Preparing/producing statutory accounts and tax computations
  • Preparing/submitting VAT returns
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Filing/submitting prepared company accounts to Companies House
  • Liaising with HMRC regarding corporate tax affairs
  • Meeting with new clients, obtaining authorisation from HMRC
  • Working to deadlines and to the highest possible standard
  • Supporting junior colleagues with their training and development
  • Excellent career development with the opportunity to progress to Director level
  • Opportunities to grow existing knowledge and skills across a wide and diverse client base.
  • Ideally ACA/ACCA Qualified/Finalist or QBE
  • Experienced in managing own client portfolio
  • High technical level of accountancy knowledge with extensive accounts preparation and disclosure knowledge
  • Excellent track record of developing and maintaining client relationships
  • A confident communicator
  • Full of initiative and drive
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail, able to effectively multitask and prioritise
  • Analytical and commercial in approach, an excellent problem solver
  • Highly IT literate, experienced in MS Office and accounting software
  • Extensive practice experience, keen to develop a career within a practice environment
  • Audit experience is desirable but not essential.
