As a Traffic Management Operative, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing traffic control measures across various locations in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and execution of traffic management schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Set up and maintain temporary traffic management systems, including traffic cones, signs, barriers, and diversions.

Monitor traffic flow and implement necessary measures to alleviate congestion and maintain road safety.

Safely direct traffic, pedestrians, and vehicles during roadworks, incidents, or events.

Work collaboratively with other team members, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective traffic management operations.

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of traffic management equipment and report any issues or faults.

Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times and promote a safe working environment.

Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist emergency services when required.

Keep accurate records and documentation related to traffic management activities.


Requirements:

Minimum TTMBC qualification needed

Own PPE

Good understanding of traffic management principles, regulations, and traffic control devices.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with the public, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

A valid UK driving license is desirable but not essential.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Peterborough, Cambridgeshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• TTMBC (preferred)
• Driving Licence (preferred)
