Planning Team Lead - Loughborough, United Kingdom - Forfarmers
Description
To work with all areas of the business to provide an exceptional level of customer service and the continuous flow of product from our external customer sites / suppliers to end customer by effective management and communication with haulier's as well as internal logistic and sales teams.
What is your role?- Coordinating production plans given from our customer for one or multiple products
- Planning and prioritising customer / supplier requirements.
- Call off straights contracts as required by Trading Team.
- Determining vehicle resource required, sourcing hauliers and rates and issuing work to hauliers.
- Liaising with dedicated 3rd party logistic providers to schedule in collections to ensure no production disruption.
- Ensure we have sufficient raw materials, production and finished product required to cover customer demand in a timely manner.
- Ensuring customer demand/requirements are planned withing delivery band widths and if not notify Sales Coordination Team in a timely manner so customer relationships are managed effectively.
- Be the central point of communication/escalation for your customer production site.
- Updating the trading board with required volume to be sold in line with sites production forecast.
- Monitor any changes in customer requirements made to the pre trading board by sales coordination team.
- Ensure any changes are relayed back to the relevant haulier / customer production site.
- Keying in new sales / purchase orders passed from the trading team.
- Ensure monthly purchase base prices / spot purchase prices / haulage rates are entered and maintained.
- Effective planning of raw material intake in line with sales volume expectation.
- Confirming current / forward orders with suppliers.
- Excellent twoway communication with the Sales Coordination Team and support to the Sales Coordination Team as required
- Lead, motivate team and set example.
- Develop other team members
- Work with Management to ensure clear training/cover plans in place Improve relationships internal and external
- Improve and streamline process
- Engage and lead collaboration with other teams within DML Organisation
- Selfmotivated and work using own Initiative
- Problem solving skills
Salary:
£22,400.00-£32,500.00 per year
