Key Skills and Duties:
As an Education Mentor, your primary responsibility will be to work with children who find it challenging to cope within a mainstream environment.
You'll provide one-on-one support, engaging with the children's full-time timetables and participating in a range of activities designed to foster growth and development.
Who We Are Looking For:
We're seeking people who are passionate about forming strong working relationships with children in an education setting. People that are committed to help change the outcomes for children who need extra support.
While prior experience is a bonus, what's most important is your ability to commit to being a dedicated mentor for students who may have lost faith in education.
You should be passionate about helping children rebuild their confidence and regain their enthusiasm for learning.Importance of Forming Strong Relationships:
In this role, forming strong relationships with the children is paramount.
Your ability to connect with them on a personal level will be crucial in guiding them through their educational journey and helping them overcome obstacles.
Changing Behaviors and Changing Outcomes:
By implementing effective behavior management techniques and providing consistent support, you'll play a vital role in helping children regulate their emotions and improve their behavior.
The Difference a Mentor Makes:
As an Education Mentor, you have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children who need it most.
Your guidance, encouragement, and support can instil confidence and inspire a love for learning in children who may have otherwise struggled.
Working Environment:
You'll be part of a dedicated team of experienced staff focused on creating a fun and engaging environment for the children in your care.
The school offers a range of different vocational activities to supplement the timetable to help children re-engage with education or even maybe find a new passion.
There is no such things as one size fits all here.Requirements:
Experience working with children who do not engage well within education, the care or mental health sector, a sports or youth worker background are all examples of sectors people have come from and flourished in this type of role.
We're looking for individuals who are team players, adaptable, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children.
Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Salary:
£12.50-£16.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
