3PL Senior Buyer
My client is an established and growing global organisation that works within the electronics distribution sector working with clients within the Defence, Aerospace, Automotive and Medical sectors.

As a Senior Buyer, you will be a key member of a dynamic team within the business, working closely with the 3PL Supply Chain Manager.
You will be instrumental in delivering added value through strategic sourcing, leveraging your expertise in electronic components, understanding of supply-chain networks and innovating procurement processes while managing risks effectively.
In collaboration with the 3PL Project Managers, your role will extend to working on strategic accounts, where you will delve into understanding customer needs, managing their supply chain, and proposing value-added solutions to establish long-term partnerships.
- Conducting cost analysis of the Bill of Materials (BoM)
- Utilising risk management tools e.g. Z2Data to assess obsolescence and find alternative component solutions.
- Provide costeffective procurement strategies.
Internal relationships are integral across all departments, you will be expected to liaise with the global sourcing team to identify opportunities for improved Purchase Price Variance (PPV), address obsolescence issues and manage part shortages.
Likewise, collaboration with the franchised product and technology team is required to deliver design-registered pricing for around 100 product lines from the linecard, providing both technical and alternative solutions to existing and emerging component challenges and opportunities.

- Deliver projects to the 5 rights of procurement within the scope of the contract.
- Improved GP for project profitability and against quarterly targets
- Stock Control procuring to lean inventory.
- Contractual customer KPI's.
- Cost reductions
- Supplier and customer risk management
- Project compliance management
Essential Functions:
- Minimise risk to continuity of supply by assessing BoM risk.
- Continuously gather, analyse, interpret, and act upon market intelligence.
- Work with suppliers and influence internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the innovation strategy as technology, markets, and business needs change.
- Manage multiple projects, often complex and simultaneously.
- Strong business system capability (INFOR, Microsoft BI, CalcuQuote, Excel and Z2Data)
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Data driven with a desire for accuracy and efficiency.
