About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Welder to to join our team. This role will focus on planning and carrying out welding operations and tasks to manufacture the departments order demand.

To be considered for this role, you must have Level 3 certificate in welding practice or equivalent and ability to TIG weld Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Titanium, Nickel and exotic materials and alloys.

You will have previous experience of working with hazardous materials, ability to conduct welding in front of accredited welding inspectors to gain third party approval.

You must be able to follow weld specifications, engineering drawings, assembly procedures and work to tight tolerances. You will also be a good problem solver who can work methodically and to agreed timescales. You must be able to work collaboratively as part of the team as well as on your own initiative.

*You must have a full clean driving licence as occasional travel and working outside normal hours may occur.

Key duties

Ensure all necessary welding documentation and approvals are in place to meet departments order demand. This may include arranging design and procurement of test pieces and welding analysis;
When required, produce documentation to obtain approvals and where necessary organise the requirements for the approval including liaising with customer welding Engineers and Quality inspectors;
Maintain welding records and approval status of weld procedures in the most efficient and costeffective manner;
Ensure contract conditions are met regarding storage of weld qualification records and test pieces;
Ensure documentation is completed and adhered to during manufacture and is presentable to customers, identifying improvements to process documentation when required;
Offer welding support to Production Department when required;
Support both on and offsite manufacturing and testing in line with production plans;
Assist with Client surveillance visits.
