Change Public Practice Group are working with a forward-thinking, leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Scotland to recruit a Corporate Tax Assistant manager/manager.

The role provides a good range of work for someone with a solid corporate tax background, to be responsible for a portfolio of clients; build relationships and be the client relationship tax manager, ensuring the client receives a bespoke tax service whichis delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility for dayto day delivery of exceptional client care.
Oversee a portfolio of clients to deliver work according to budget and deadlines.
Deliver tax compliance and advisory projects and working with the accounts team to provide the necessary corporate and deferred tax disclosure for inclusion in statutory accounts.
Reviewing corporation tax compliance work, tax accounting figures & disclosures, and assisting junior members with technical queries.
Build strong client relationships and active involvement with business development activities.
Building relationships with a portfolio of clients in a wide range of Industry sectors
Mentoring and leading the team

Background & Experience

Preferably be CTA and or ATT/ACA/ ACCA qualified or a Tax Inspector with full Technical Training Course, or law qualification or experience equivalent
Have a thorough understanding of UK corporate tax issues
Experience with tax planning, capital gains, capital allowances, company restructuring, the review of corporate tax returns
