JOB PURPOSE:

We are excited to be recruiting this role in our growing People & Culture team on a permanent basis.

We are on the look-out for an enthusiastic People & Culture Assistant who has a genuine passion about people and process.

This is a great opportunity for someone with knowledge of HR best practice and/or experience in a similar role looking to develop their generalist administration /coordination skills in a fast paced and fun environment.


You will be responsible for providing top-class HR support to 600+ employees mainly across the UK and you will also have the opportunity to work with the People & Culture Manager to provide support to our employees based in France, Berlin, Sydney, Canada and the US.

You will be surrounded by people who are extremely passionate about what they do and love creating processes to ensure we deliver exceptional work and experiences for everyone at DEPT.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is exciting, varied and constantly evolving.


In this role you will:

  • Act as a main point of contact for employees queries throughout the entire employment lifecycle with support from the P&C leads
  • Maintain our HRIS to ensure it is uptodate at all times
  • Manage the HR aspects of the onboarding and offboarding process
  • Develop effective and efficient HR admin processes during highgrowth periods
  • Take and provide references for employees
  • Coordinate the benefit administration
  • Administration for family leave and similar requests
  • Produce contract addendums and other paperwork
  • Coordinate employee milestone events such a probationary period, performance reviews
  • Support on payroll administration and collating the right documentation for all entities
  • General maintenance for personnel files and ad hoc correspondence and administration
  • Support on ad hoc projects and internal comms to the wider business
  • Produce HR metrics and analyse data to find patterns and trends
  • Contribute to policy research and development

SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:


  • Previous experience working as a generalist HR Assistant or similar office administration role
  • Strong organisation skills, detail oriented and passionate about HR and offering the best service to the business
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner
  • Driven and proactive, with ability to work autonomously as well as being a great team player
  • Strong people skills and the ability to build relationships with the wider team as well as stakeholders
  • Good prioritiser, organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks
  • Works comfortably to a deadline
  • Consistently demonstrates/ exercises good judgment, ability to laterally problem solve
  • Technically astute with the ability to learn the use of HR & Payroll systems
  • Good experience of gsuite and google sheets
