Established in 1982 Lawcris Panel Products is a leading Distributor of wood panel products in the UK.


It has developed over the last 40 years into a £100million turnover business, operating from its warehouse location in Leeds dealing with major UK manufacturers and distributing to 1000's of customers.


We pride ourselves in our strong compliance culture and the next stage of our development means pursuing ISO 14001 accreditation to sit alongside our accreditations for forestry stewardship.


We are seeking a talented Compliance Administrator to help achieve this accreditation and support all compliance activities and ensure adherence to regulations and standards.


Working to the Procurement and Sustainability Manager and closely with the Health and Safety Manager and other Operational Managers, you will help drive compliance across the company and specifically support the pursuit of ISO14001.


Duties:


  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures specific to the wood panel industry ensuring alignment with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor findings and suggest recommendation for improvement as appropriate.
  • Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations, providing timely updates and recommendations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support the pursuit of ISO14001 certification in all aspects of the process.
  • Support the assessment, monitoring, measuring, and recommendations associated with improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Managers at all levels to develop and implement compliance initiatives.
  • Support training and awareness programs on compliancerelated topics, ensuring employees are wellinformed and educated.
  • Investigate and respond to compliancerelated inquiries and incidents, working closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of compliance activities, reports, and findings.

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience of ISO certification and a compliance role would be preferred.
  • Qualifications in business process management / administration would be preferable.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Competent in Word, XL and Powerpoint.
  • Experience in documenting processes and creating process flowcharts.
  • A professional approach and the ability to build relationships with Customers, Suppliers, and other colleagues in the business.
  • The ability to function in a pressured environment with demanding targets and demanding deadlines.
  • The ability to manage and be responsible for your own workload.
