About the Role:


The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide an efficient, accurate and professional dispensing service to our patients.
  • Label, dispense and check acute and repeat medication.
  • Maintain a neat and organised dispensary.
  • Support the team with additional duties applicable to the role.
  • Assist the MCA and Pharmacist team with providing medication counselling.
  • Administration tasks associated within the dispensary team.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • You will have at least a Diploma Level 2/3 Dispensary or equivalent Pharmacy Services qualification.
  • At least 2 years (or equivalent) dispensary and pharmacy experience.
  • Excellent clinical and medication knowledge.
  • Understanding and experience of working as a dispenser in a community pharmacy practice setting.
  • The commitment to continue to learn new skills and develop your career.
  • The confidence to work as part of a pharmacy practice team and using your own initiative in decision making.
  • The ability to be adaptable and flexible in your approach.
  • Excellent patient facing interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medication.
