    Shipping Coordinator

    Alchemy Global Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading B2B supplier of natural food ingredients to find a skilled professional for this key role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with customs agents and hauliers to ensure seamless customs clearance and timely delivery to warehouses and customers worldwide.
    • Manage the company's containerized shipments originating from various global locations, ensuring they are handled efficiently and effectively.
    • Negotiate with shipping lines, customs agents, hauliers, and warehouses to secure competitive pricing and services.
    • Process and monitor shipping invoices to minimize logistics costs.
    • Apply commercial acumen to optimize shipping operations, driving efficiency and reducing costs.
    • Verify and handle shipping documents, communicating with suppliers and customers across different regions and time zones.
    • Coordinate FOB and FCA shipment bookings with shipping lines, meeting customer needs and expectations.
    • Maintain expertise in Microsoft Excel for logging and analyzing shipping data, ensuring accurate documentation.
    • Exercise meticulous attention to detail throughout all logistics and shipping processes.
    • Work effectively under pressure, managing tight deadlines and handling last-minute challenges with ease.

    Requirements:

    • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and ability to secure favorable terms with shipping partners.
    • Hold advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, leveraging its capabilities for efficient logistics management.
    • Bring significant experience in global logistics or import-export roles, applying valuable knowledge to this position.
    • Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, working under pressure to meet deadlines and overcome challenges.
    • Possess a degree in a relevant field, such as business, logistics, or supply chain management.
    • Develop excellent organizational skills and maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality work outcomes.
    • Benefit from multilingual abilities, enabling effective communication with international clients and partners.
    • Have familiarity with UK customs clearance processes, understanding the complexities of import and export regulations.
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of UK and EU import and export procedures, staying compliant with regulatory requirements.
    • Excel in interpersonal and communication skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and customers.
