    Interim Director of the Margaux Early Childhood School


    About Us:

    The Margaux School at Temple Judea is a national leader in Reggio and Judaic education for children ages 15 months to Prekindergarten.

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Interim Director to support the Director of Education in the supervision and operations of the Margaux School. This temporary position requires a strong background in early childhood education, program management, and personnel supervision.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the implementation of an enhanced, integrated, Jewish, and developmentally appropriate constructivist curriculum and programs.
    • Promote an inclusive, nurturing and engaging atmosphere that reflects respect and compassion and is supportive of and accessible to all children, families and staff regardless of religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation.
    • Support the Director of Education to oversee personnel management including: recruitment, hiring, supervision, retention, professional development and promotion.
    • Implement and monitor annual and quarterly program budgets, purchasing and revenue.
    • Oversee facility maintenance and safety inspections.
    • Implement enrollment and tuition processes.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in education, child development or related field.
    • A minimum of two years of supervision in an educational setting.
    • Director Credential Level 1 in Florida or from a state with reciprocity.
    • Demonstrated experience in program design and implementation with young children and their families.
    • Experience with effective financial management and strategic planning tools.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • At least two years of supervision in an Early Childhood educational setting.
    • Knowledge of Jewish life, traditions and culture, as well as an ability to integrate these concepts appropriately into the program, environment and with staff.
    • Master's degree in early childhood education or childhood development.
