Part time position as Clinic Co-ordinator (1 x 18.75 hours)


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Endocrine and Diabetes Clinic Co-Ordinator to join the General Medicine Directorate at UHNM.


To provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective support service to the Specialist Nurses and Clinicians within the Endocrinology & Diabetes Service.

Clinic Co-ordinator

  • To be responsible for ensuring effective communication systems are in place with the Endocrinology nurse team and Consultant team.
  • Liaison with Senior Endocrinology staff (including Clinical Director, Senior Nurse and Senior Managers) to ensure compliance with national standards and to be responsible for developing action plans where appropriate.
  • Liaise with patients.
  • Liaise with private patients and to complete the relevant paperwork.
  • To meet with the Endocrinology nurse team to provide information relating to the running of their clinics.
  • To update/amend clinic time slots as and when required.
  • Ensure that the patient Access Policy is adhered to and communicate any issues accordingly.
  • To supply information to individuals as requested and agreed.
  • To maintain close liaison with clinical staff and medical secretaries and ensure there is a seamless service for patients.
  • To liaise with Registrars regarding patient tests and their requirements.
  • Communicating with the clinical staff and patients regarding the endocrinology tests.
