Brighter Future

Employee benefits )

You will need experience of providing direct intervention and support to young people and their families (preferably with 16-25 year olds) and be familiar with the Personal Advisor role and responsibilities.

You should have a good general education up to NVQ Level III and an understanding of the legal framework and policy / procedures in supporting Cared for Children and Care leavers.

As you will be providing and co-ordinating practical, personal, emotional and social support, and financial advice to young people, you will need a clear understanding of the daily challenges facing care leavers as they develop the skills to prepare for adulthood.

Our Personal Advisors have opportunities for training and development and high quality reflective supervision; we are working hard to reduce caseloads across all of our teams and we are confident that with the use of flexible working and smart IT devices, you will have the time to make a genuine difference in the lives of our young people.

Cheshire East has introduced Signs of Safety as our operational model and a rolling programme of training will be available to anyone who is unfamiliar with this approach.
