We're looking for two highly technical Service Desk Engineers to join a leading MSP that specialises in IT support for helping corporate and education organisations You will be required to get to either the Birmingham or Northampton office for inductionand occasional visits, the rest of the time you will be able to work remotely This is a - 6 month contract position with excellent day rates and the possibility of extending


Role Overview


As our client's new Service desk engineer, you will be responsible for responding quickly and efficiently to incoming 1st and 2nd line IT support issue tickets and escalating to the relevant senior staff member when required.

You will be diagnosing and resolvingsoftware and hardware issues, whilst accurately recording and documenting each query within the service desk system.


Responsibilities:


  • Efficiently diagnosing and resolving software and hardware calls/tickets.
  • Implement software installations and deployments on computing systems if necessary.
  • Use the Service Desk system to record, update, and document requests accurately.
  • Work with the infrastructure team on network and infrastructure initiatives, including both hardware and system administration.
  • Provide assistance with Active Directory management.
  • Assuring all customers are treated efficiently and appropriately by maintaining a firstclass level of customer service.
  • Keep technical documentation, procedures, and processes uptodate.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:


  • Experience working in a similar IT support/service desk role. (Minimum 2 years)
  • Experience working with school IT systems
  • Highly desirable but not essential.
  • Background of working in an MSP environment
  • Highly desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Network knowledge, including TCP/IP, switches, routers, and VPNs.
  • XP/Win7/W10 support knowledge.
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience providing exemplary customer service.
