As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

NHS 24 is a patient-focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services.

The Role_**Supporting the delivery and implementation of the Information, Communication and Technology Strategy (ICT) by working closely with partners and stakeholders to co-ordinate and implement the collection, maintenance and the review of provider services including clinical and non-clinical health information in a timely manner to ensure its availability to both staff and the public via multiple channels.

The post holder will be responsible for the maintenance of these information resources in line with NHS 24's governance procedures and organisational requirements.

This can involve protracted negotiations with external partners to ensure governance deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities_**- Supporting delivery of NHS 24's online services to the public across a range of channels.

  • Ensuring accurate and uptodate content is available via multiple channels for NHS 24's Unscheduled Care Service to facilitate safe and effective patient care outcomes.
  • Supporting the delivery of content management practices, incorporating a national directory of services. Ensuring the governance of all information is applied adheres to organisational policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider ICT directorate and external suppliers to support the design of systems ensuring they meet the requirements of end users. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and testing any changes to content management systems and organisational digital delivery platforms.
  • Organise the completion and follow up of AIR activity ensuring compliance with procedures. Working collaboratively with Service Delivery and Service Support Teams, the postholder will be responsible for investigating AIR's, updating reporting systems and providing outcomes and feedback to all relevant parties.
  • Using a range of software including website editing tools and content management systems to develop, maintain and implement updates to information and systems across the NHS 24 estate. This includes internal systems utilised by Service Delivery and online delivery platforms accessed by the public.

Successful Applicant will:
_**- Be expected to be educated to National 5 level or equivalent and additional relevant experience in Data and Information Management

  • Possess advanced keyboard skills with attention to detail and accuracy being imperative due to post holder being involved in the creation and maintenance of information assets used across the organisation and on national external facing platforms.
  • Demonstrate their ability to plan and prioritise workload based on organisational and system requirements.

Benefits_**NHS 24 offers a complete benefits package, with a permanent contract on Band 4 £27,598 - £30,019 Per Annum (pro rata if applicable).

Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
